Welcome to Emu Creek State School

A small school with a big heart!

High quality, multi-age education in a small school environment

Emu Creek State School is a small country school situated on the New England Highway in East Greenmount which caters for students from Prep to Year 7 in a supportive environment. Our school is set up in multi-age classrooms with experienced staff that excel at achieving success for every individual student.

Our students have a positive attitude and enjoy pursuing and achieving success in academic, cultural and sporting fields. The overall development of every individual student is valued and through the 5 keys of success, Persistence, Confidence, Resilience, Organisation and Getting Along, our students are given the basis in which to become lifelong learners and active responsible citizens.

A Word from our Principal

As Principal of Emu Creek State School, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our school's website.

Our leafy, small, rural school provides an excellent, innovative learning environment where students are both challenged and supported to learn, try, enjoy and individually achieve success as lifelong learners.

Being a small school, we have a family atmosphere, where all students and staff know each other and school spirit is built through everyone working, supporting and encouraging each other.

As educators and lifelong learners ourselves, we aspire to a learning culture that is never complacent. We constantly review and develop our programs, practices and facilities, seeking that optimal blend of tradition and innovation.

Through our commitment to your student's success, beyond the academic curriculum our school offers a range of cultural, sporting, personal development and service programs, which the students are encouraged to explore widely. These pursuits are considered an equally important element of their overall growth, learning and socialisation, in addition to contributing to the many happy and enjoyable stores of school memories we hope they will gather during their time at Emu Creek State School.

I know that I am the Principal and you would expect me to say all this. So don't take my word for it; visit us and see for yourself! Your first step into Emu Creek State School is going to feel like coming home.
