Emu Creeks New Signs
In keeping with the local festivities celebrating Steele Rudd (Arthur Hoey Davis) Birthday, a team of dedicated parents, teachers and citizens spent Saturday morning erecting our new Emu Creek State School signs.
I’m sure everyone would agree that the work of our local artist/signwriter Kerry Nicholson helps bring to life the heritage and history our School shares with the well known Steele Rudd.
Emu Creek is the oldest School in what was the Cambooya Shire, opening its doors in 1875. One can only imagine what school life was like for the children of these tough pioneers but they have certainly left us with a School to be proud of and with all the recent improvements the School is worthy a closer inspection. So when you are next passing stop, and admire the artwork on the signs depicting our links with the past and maybe take a stroll around our quaint picturesque School Grounds.
Talk to one of our friendly staff about our new Steele Rudd Resource Centre.
It is with improvement like these that we hope to ensure our school not just survives but thrives for another 133 years.
