At Emu Creek State School, we like to give our pre-preps and their families ample time to adjust to the next step in their education.
We are pleased to offer a comprehensive prep transition for you and your child.
Not sure when your child is eligible? Children born from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023 are eligible for prep in 2027. Check out the Prep Ready Reckoner for more details.
In Term 4 each year, we conduct a pre-prep transition program, Step into Prep, for children set to begin prep the following year. You and your child are welcome to attend any or all prep transition days.
For preps wanting to start school in 2026, please attend our Step into Prep days on:

Wednesday November 18th
In addition, Playgroup occurs every Friday morning from 9:00am - 10:30am. Our playgroup is open to all children aged 0-5 years. Children enjoy the fun of an obstacle course, story time, craft, music and playtime.
